Turkey Day

This turkey day was very peaceful. Now that Evan is not a newborn I could go with the flow more easily. Evan took an early nap that afternoon and we woke him just in time to walk out the door with our side items we cooked for all the stops. Our first meal was at my parent's house.

Here is Evan with Uncle Alec. Uncle Alec turned on a video of Evan that was taken in the summer and Evan thought it was present time. How do we know? Well, he was trying to knock down the block towers in the video, and this younger kid (also Evan) kept getting in the way and knocking them down! It was too funny!

The holidays just aren't the holidays without the food staples you grew up with, and they were superb even if my mom was sick. Evan loved the cranberries the most and did try some of anything I put his way.

Next we went to Nana's & Pop's house and had yummy ham and greens. We got to see Nan, Pop, Opa, Alex, Auntie Racquel (the birthday girl), Heather, Lexi, Skye, Auntie Kelly, Auntie Rusty, Auntie Meghan, Shawn, Auntie Seesaw & Uncle Cody.

Racquel's 15th birthday was spent remembering the Pilgrims and Indians, I am sure my mom can relate her birthday is the 26th and often falls on Thanksgiving.

Evan, had random fits of happiness accompanied by other random fits of grumpy and jealousy. Mama & Aunt Kelly weren't allowed to hold baby Skye without temper tandrums.

So Evan decided to play nice with his older cousin, Lexi. Here is their debut singing jingle bells:

Lastly, with our full bellies we made the return to J-ville to Grandmama's house. Where Evan had his first bite of cherry pie and still managed to eat 1/2 banana. Evan also showed everyone where the 'kitty' was and meowed for us.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Thanks for everyone having us over and keeping the kitchens opened for us!

So cute! He had a really full day! His jealousy is so adorable though, he loves his Mama so much!
