The end of the 'school' term has ended and Evan will soon move up to the next age group at play school. Evan's teacher whom we all LOVE to pieces is moving to Germany to be with her family and I am very sad that he won't be able to see her around the 'school campus'. So, big changes are on the way for Evan at play school. He knows all of the teachers but it will none the less be a new set of rules and lessons he will have to grasp.
With that being said....yesterday was report card day! The previous report card Evan had quite a bit of 'Needs Improvement'....this go around...All except one out of 35 plus categories were checked 'Mastered'. His one category he needs to work on was involving putting on and off a jacket...which I know he needs to work on, I also want to personally work on buttoning buttons as well.
His notes from his teacher are as follows:
It is nice to see Evan make more use of his verbal skills. He is a very energetic little boy who gets along nicely with all of his friends. It was a pleasure to have him in class. We are looking forward to spending more time with him this summer.
Next is a section with pictures the kids have to name and also questions the kids answer. Many are correct, 1 or 2 are wrong and a few he didn't answer at all. The funny part is this question about Easter.
1. What do we hunt for at Easter? ___blank___ (eggs)
2. What is hiding inside the eggs? ___Chicken__ (candy, Chocolate, Toys)
You can call #2 wrong but he was very literal in his answer and I call that a correct answer! HAHA that made me crack up.
Then followed many questions about change and spring and animals that Evan knows quite a bit about...he knows that a ___tadpole___ turns into a frog and that an octopus shoots __ink__ when he is scared.
I am very proud of my little man.
